The story we are told is that the inhabitants of the British Isles were a barbaric warrior race with no written language and thus no ability to leave a written record of their civilization. Therefore, we must rely on the words of Catholic monks who preserved the Celtic myths by writing them down well into Christian times.
There is, however, another possible explanation. The Romans, and later the Roman Catholics, destroyed the civilization they found in the British Isles, replaced it with their own religion Christianity, then lied about the people they conquered. Why tell such a lie? Possibly to justify the horrible actions that led to the “Christianization” of the British Isles.

That history is manipulated to present the past in a particular light is without doubt. The extent to which it has been manipulated is up for debate. Some will claim that it’s not manipulation but rather simple human error caused by insufficient information or inaccurate documents. While this is true in some situations, the direct and intentional manipulation of both history and historical evidence that does not fit the predetermined narrative happens far more than most people are willing to admit.
A single historical discovery that destroys much of the narrative about Western history and thought is nearly impossible to research. This item is the Celtic Mathematical Mount. Described on the only website that had information about it as “This pre-Roman Celtic Mount displays British mastery of geometry and mathematics as well as bronze-making technology.” This quote remains among the limited information we have available on a discovery that should have rocked the world to its core.
The website itself was (or is) maintained by the BBC with the short blurb about the Celtic Mathematical Mount appearing on what seemed to be an old Flash page.
The question begged is not; why is the site now inaccessible, but rather why was this discovery not widely distributed, researched, and discussed openly? This is what one would expect from such a monumental discovery as this. The reality is much different.
The discovery of the Celtic Mathematical Mount throws into doubt the currently accepted history that the Greeks, Persians, and Indians developed modern mathematics. However, there’s more. The Celtic Mathematical Mount points to a sophisticated and developed civilization in the British Isles that far surpassed the Indo-Mediterranean civilizations in the same time frame.
Did the Romans and early Christians lie about the people they found living in the British Isles? Were the civilizations in Northern-Europe so vastly different from the Indo-Mediterraneans that they a year-zero policy was enacted by the Romans and early Christians to hide the truth? Is the depiction of our Northern-European ancestors in film and TV merely Indo-Mediterranean fiction?
These are questions that deserve to be answered.
